Similar to the popular yet infamous Danganronpa series, particularly Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, Inescapable: No Rules, No Rescue is a pay-to-play thriller visual novel set on a faraway tropical island where there is more than meets the eye. The player steps into the shoes of Harrison, a young lad who’s supposed to be on a trip with friends but gets kidnapped to star in a twisted reality show instead.

Inescapable features ten strangers pitted against one another in a game of survival, with a tantalizing prize of money for enduring the stay. The catch lies in the utter lawlessness, thus allowing the participants’ basest instincts to surface uninhibited.
